Beauty Essentials for Winter

Since my change in lifestyle resulting from my treatment I have been getting a lot of compliments on the condition of my skin – ‘positively glowing’ has been mentioned once or twice. It’s probably down to a huge reduction in my wine consumption but, I believe it’s more than that, so I want to share with you my latest beauty finds that have helped the transformation this winter time.

I’ve got it covered peeps, there’s a product for every possible part of your body (within reason)! This is your essential guide to my winter beauty products, lets dive in shall we…Winter Beauty Essentials1

Face cleanser & body oil

Balance Me, Cleanse and smooth face balm – I cannot rate this face wash any higher, I believe this is the root of my glowing skin. Having been a Liz Earle fan for years, I was a bit nervous to try a new cleanser but, honestly I don’t think I would ever look back. It has an oil like paste consistency, rich in essentials oils, with a oatmeal exfoliating powder to polish out all the impurities and enhance your skin’s natural radiance. My skin feels new every time, so soft and plump, one word – genius!

Inner Strength Bath and Shower Oil – It’s not only your face that needs looking after, your body needs attention too. I’m terrible for this and, very rarely invest in this part of me however, my nurses have been on my case since the start of treatment, empathising just how important it is. So now I’m really trying and, to make life easier this amazing oil is something you can apply in your shower and or bath routine, brilliant time saver! It has a beautiful scent that is supposed to empower and uplift you and, I believe it does, I always feel so much better after my morning showers.

Inner Strength Body Oil – After the shower I’ve been using this body oil from the same range to lock in moisture and leave my skin feeling ultra smooth. I’ve also been applying a very small drop to my scalp, the one down side to losing all your hair – your scalp is open to all the elements and this oil has really help with the drying skin.

Not only is this Inner Strength range fabulous it also donates 10% of proceeds to the Foundation Defence Against Cancer. Win win!

Janjira Facial Concentrate Serum – Not one to over complicate my skin care routine, I was a bit dubious adding in a serum to my wash-and-go kinda vibe. However since trying, I am now addicted! Its silky smooth texture adds such a rich moisturising element to my skin, it really has had a huge beneficial effect.

Janjira Facial Deep Moisturizing – This is hands down the best moisturiser I have ever used! It instantly changed the way my skin felt and looked, I had people noticing straight away too! It’s so rich and smooth your skin feels soft, supple and revitalised. Plus these two products from this range smell divine, pomegranate and acia fruit oils, yum!

Winter Beauty Essentials3Lips and nails

Balance Me Stellar Beauty Balm – This product is magical, it truly is a miracle worker! Apply this balm anywhere where you might have dry, dehydrated skin. Its beautiful rich balm repairs the skin back to life. It’s great on lips and dry noses from all the colds going around this time of years.

Carmex Lip Balm – A great handbag size balm to have at your fingers tips, its a cult classic!

Essie Nail Lacquer, Peak of Chic – Add a bit of Christmas sparkle to your nails this winter with this stunning Essie Nail lacquer. It’s not in your face and quite subtle which is what I like the most about it. Makes your nails look like a snow globe!

L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream – It’s won countless awards and is without a doubt the best hand cream around. It does the job, it smells amazing, doesn’t leave your hands greasy, it has just a pure rich texture, you honestly can go wrong!

Happy winter skin all round!
